Burt's Bees

Burt's Bees began in Maine in 1984 as a maker and seller of beeswax candles.  Now they are the leading manufacturer of Earth-friendly natural personal care products, with sales topping $250 million in 2006.  They produce over 150 products in categories including face care, body care, hair care, lip care, men's grooming, baby care and outdoor remedies.

Burt's Bees subscribes to what they call the Greater Good business model, which includes an overall attention to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.  Through this model they maintain an attention to the environment, to product ingredients, to responsible packaging, transparency, fair trade, and animal rights.  Burt's Bees is located in Durham, NC.
