Mountain Green

Mountain Green started in Colorado in the 1980s with the specific goal of providing "skin sensitive" products to people. Headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, its products can be purchased online and at Whole Foods, Drug Fair, Giant Eagle, Kroger stores, and Sprouts.

Notable Eco Activity

Mountain Green began by leaving petroleum out of their products and made their detergents from renewable, biodegradable resources which are good for the environment. All of their products contain no harsh chemicals or perfumes. Today, all of their products are produced in their carbon neutral facility in Tempe, AZ.

All of Mountain Green's products are formulated for use in High Efficiency machines and are low sudsing. They are cruelty-free as they are never tested on animals nor are any animal products used.

None of the company's products contain phthalates or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, wheat or gluten as they are corn and coconut based.

One laundry product which is not biodegrable is their dryer sheets, which do not disentegrate in the dryer but they can be used as a dusting cloth until the consumer tosses them. The company is working to make them more environmentally friendly.

Mountain Green also produces glass & all purpose cleaners, foam hand soap, dishwashing liquid, and baby detergent and baby bottle washing liquid.

Mountain Green's lists all of its ingredients for all of every product it carries on its website.
