Cruelty-free

Cruelty-free is a movement to avoid all products of cruelty, arising from veganism to create a lifestyle philosophy that seeks to avoid all products which might be connected with cruelty to humans or animals. The term "cruelty-free" typically refers to a product's level of animal testing.  For years, cosmetics, personal care items, and household products and cleaners have been tested on animals.

The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetcis (CCIC) promotes a single comprehensive standard and an internationally recognized "leaping bunny" logo. They work with companies to help make shopping for animal-friendly products easier and more trustworthy, giving the consumer something to rely upon..
