Cullet

Cullet is glass that has been broken down or crushed into small pieces and is ready for recycling.  Most of this glass is the result of recycled beverage and food bottles and containers. Cullet is often recycled into other glass bottles and containers.

Cullet is also waste glass that is left over in the production of glass containers and items. Other times it's created from glass items that have failed to meet specific quality levels and must be broken down to start the glass making process over again.

These broken down pieces of glass can come in a variety of colors including green, clear, amber or mixed.

Turning useable items into cullet is a vital part of the process in which we recycle glass.
