Fair wage

The term "fair wage" is typically appended onto "fair trade", as part of its definition.  Fair trade, by definition, seeks to provide a fair wage to disadvantaged workers within the local context, and does not necessarily provide fair wage as defined by developing countries that have legislated the definition of fair wage for their workers.  The overall concept of fair wage is one that is designed to empower disadvantaged workers and assist them in leading lives in partnership with rather than in subjugation to traders and manufacturers.
