Repurpose

To use or convert an item for use in another format or product.  It's a way of recycling items and keeping them out of the waste stream. Essentially, when you repurpose you take something used and make something completely different out of it.

Examples: buying a thrift store wool jacket and making a toddler's skirt. Or crafting a reuseable shopping bag out of an old t-shirt.
