How to assemble your green cleaning kit

So you've decided to go greener in your cleaning. You're not satisfied breathing chemicals anymore, and we've shown you that non-toxic cleaning is way easier than you thought it was. Yay, you! You're taking the eco plunge. And you've been (safely) tossing your old, toxic cleaners. But now your cleaning cupboard is bare. So what do you need to create a green cleaning kit?

  • several spray bottles
  • glass jars with lids (canning jars are good)
  • vinegar
  • baking soda
  • non-toxic liquid soap (I like Dr. Bronner's Castile soaps)
  • sponges, rags, etc.

optional:

  • tea tree oil
  • oiive oil

That's it. That's all you need. Get those together and tomorrow we'll talk about easy-to-make recipes to create your own green cleaners at home!
