Let me start out by saying that Lil Wayne and I have quite a bit in common (it's obvious from the photos, isn't it?) We were born three days apart, are big Lakers fans, and are both former members of the Hot Boys (ok, mine was an a cappella group, but you wouldn't know the difference). However, of late, I've noticed that Weezy is letting some of the fame go to his head. Judging from his tour requirements, being eco-friendly isn't at the top of his priority list. Among his performing demands:
- A multi-passenger Learjet to and from the venue
- Two clean and odor-free dressing rooms with two bottles of Hennessey XO, two of Patron Platinum, two liters of Grey Goose (liters!) and 24 bottles of water
- A police escort of two vehicles to and from the airport, hotel and venue
Now, I'm not one to ask Mr. Make it Rain to change his style, but I will recommend a few things he can do to make his carbon footprint a little less Shaq-sized. First of all, does he really need 24 individual 12 oz. bottles of water? As previously mentioned on Super Eco, plastic bottles are very difficult to recycle and are typically not converted into new bottles. Perhaps Young Money Entertainment could provide a traveling water filter? It should taste the same, but if a chaser is required, I'm sure a shot of Patron will do the trick.
Now on to the police escort. I won't try to take that away. Don't the fuzz have hybrids yet? Or, maybe Lil Wayne can ride in one of the cop cars himself. After all, in one of them might be the Mrs. Officer of his dreams!
One more thing. Is the private jet really necessary for a trip from Santa Barbara to L.A.? Why not carpool in Willie Nelson's biodiesel bus? I'm sure you guys would have tons to talk about...
How about it, Dwayne? Do you have what it takes to make Planet Weezy a greener, cleaner place? Think about it. You know I'm your boy.

How to foster green biodiversity

Jonathan, this is one funny post... You are clearly just odd enough to write here.
Somehow I can't get the image of Lil Wayne and Willie Nelson cruising in a tour bus out of my head now...
