Hey Paul, flickr
There's no shortage of free stuff available this week in honor of Earth Week and Earth Day. Pick and choose to your heart's—and the environment's—content:
The Disney Store will give you a free reusable water bottle when you bring in 3 plastic bottles. Earth Day Rating: try to walk away without buying anything.
Home Depot has a million CFL bulbs to give away, and is offering free faucet areators and BOGO offers on packets of organic seeds as well. Earth Day Rating: worth a trip. But bummer, this promo may have been a one-day only thing. Yesterday.
Reynolds Wrap is offering a mail-in rebate good for free aluminum foil. Earth Day Rating: questionable, but better than plastic wrap!
Amazon has a bunch of deals on reusable water bottles, organic groceries, water filters, dimmers, CFL bulbs, and other green products. Earth Day Rating: good if you were going to uy those things anyway. Watch out for shipping costs!
Starbucks will fill your reusable to-go cup with drip coffee all week, free. Earth Day Rating: not bad as long as you don't have to go out of your way. Sorry, no mochaccinos.
Earthbound Farms will give a reusable bag if you take their "Sustain Yourself, Sustain the Planet" Pledge. Earth Day Rating: Pledge? No problem. Where do I click?
Walgreen's proves that giving away $1 reusable bags is good PR. Oh, and there's coupons, too. Earth Day Rating: bags are great. Free?
BrightTalk has 5 free green building webcasts from its green building summit this week. Earth Day Rating: finally, something that's not a bag! The lineup looks pretty interesting.
