Cameron Diaz is one of Hollywood's highest paid actresses. Also, according to People magazine in 2007, she is one the best dressed. The San Diego, California native left home at sixteen to embark on a successful career as a fashion model. Her modeling took her all over the world. At the age of twenty-one, in 1994, she appeared in her first movie starring opposite Jim Carrey in "The Mask." She has made over thirty films since "The Mask," including the popular "Shrek" series, where she is the voice of Princess Fiona. Among her many awards and professional honors she counts four Golden Globe nominations since 1999, one for Best Actress, and three for Best Supporting Actress.
She supports the Food bank for New York City and several other charities aimed at helping disadvantaged youth, encouraging voter participation, and fighting AIDS. Besides these charities, she is very active in environmental causes. Her MTV series, "Trippin'," raised her "green profile" and introduced millions to environmental issues from Nepal and Bhutan in the Himalayas to Chile, Honduras, and Costa Rica in Latin America, Tanzania in Africa, and Yellowstone in North America.

In 2005, Cameron starred in the MTV series, "Trippin'." In the series she led her friends around the world on a quest to learn and to safeguard the environment. She makes Public Service Announcements for the Environmental Media Association. With Gwyneth Paltrow and Darryl Hannah she is part of the eco start-up Act Green. She is a supporter of the Center for Environmental Education, an organization that works with K-12 schools "to address climate change issues and to cultivate healthy lifestyles."
In 2007, she joined Al Gore on stage to introduce Bon Jovi at the Live Earth concert. The event was produced with to help raise public awareness world-wide of the dangers of climate change.
