Ed Begley, Jr.

Ed Begley, Jr. is an actor and environmentalist. His acting career took off with his portrayl of Dr. Victor Ehrlich on TVs St. Elsewhere. His film credits include "Batman Forever," "The Accidental Tourist," "The In-Laws," "Pineapple Express" and many others. Begley has been acting for stage, televisin and film since 1970. In 2003, Begley wrote, directed and produced the play Cesar & Ruben, which was based on the life of Cesar Chavez. He received the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation award for his efforts.

More recently on television, Begley has been seen in "Gary, Unmarried," "Arrested Development," "Six Feet Under," and "Boston Legal." He has also directed several episodes of "NYPD Blue" and starred in his own HGTV reality show, "Living With Ed" which feature his environmental efforts in his own home. The HGTV show brought Begley into the eye of the mainstream green movement and created quite a buzz around his extreme efforts to be as green as he possibly could be.

Begley is involved in many environmental organizations and continues to work in Hollywood and abroad for movie and television appearances. He encourages people to pick the "low-hanging fruit" of environmentalism first, doing simple things like changing furnace filters and turning off the heated dry cycle on the dishwa(sher.

" in which America watched him ride a stationary bike to produce enough electricty to make toast every morning, and nag his wife, Rachelle Carson to be more eco-friendly. Begley has been eco-friendly for many years and is known in Hollywood for driving an electric car (which he has been doing since the 1990s) and riding his bicycle around town. He even takes the bus when he has to go back and forth from the airport

hi ed i was watching your show and i also try to work on and make things greener,my latest project is an electric kayak,actualy i built it because i became disabled with c.o.p.d. and can not stand any kind of smoke,like boat and jet ski motors,its not good for me and i love kayaking,but it became to much for me,so i built an elect kayak see at,.. http:www.youtube.com/aaawink,..thanks,verdell
